Toshikazu Kawasaki

The Japanese original edition was published in 1998 and was at that time the long awaited book by the master of roses!

In addition to its two roses and the matching leaf, Kawasaki presents combinations of the simplest modules to build his well-known “winter landscape”. A temple, castles, houses, churches in numerous variations, a tree as well as rosettes and geometric bodies can be stably assembled from the elements. I would also like to specifically mention the coffee bean – a model that Kawasaki invented on the occasion of a visit to Brazil. The book ends with a 40-page chapter on the geometry of origami.

Difficulty: easy, only the rose hard.
